Am I too old for this pretty, girly dress on wedding?

A bit about me, I'm 34, short (5'2"), hourglass I think, long wavy blonde hair. Oh and a size 12 (UK) so I think that's an 8 (US)Am I too old for this pretty, girly dress?I'm a sucker for dresses, I lust after and sometimes buy dresses that I love but that don't necessarily suit my lifestyle or age.Today's arrival, a case in point. I love it, it's super pretty but I've a sneaking suspicion that it's really too girly/twee/young for me.Should I keep it or send it back? And if it's a keeper how do I keep it from it from looking age-inappropriate?Thanks!

Oh and obviously that isn't me, it's a slimmer, much younger model!

  • Would have to see you in the dress.

I think you would be fine.  I am a bit taller, and a UK 12ish sometimes 14 in dresses and I think I would wear that dress depending on how long it was and how it contained my boobs.  I have a very hour glass figure and am 32.

Are you in Dallas or the UK?  Just asking giving your post time.  I'm in London, but I'm American.
  • I'm 31, 5'4", and about a UK12-14 dress size.   For me, personally, I think the dress would feel too short and make me feel really self conscious, especially if I had to sit down!   I don't think it's an age thing as much as that I don't like my thighs, so short dresses make me uncomfortable.   The top wouldn't both me too much, depending on the occasion....you could always do a shawl or shrug.
