Non-floral Center pieces!

I don't want to have floral centerpieces, any ideas?

Re: Non-floral Center pieces!

  • What about using those cylinder vases and filling them with crystals, water and a floating candle?

  • Do you think that would be big enough for a table? I tried somethin similar on my dining room table and it just looked so small.
  • We used lanterns. What you have to keep in mind is that you don't need to "fill" the table--there will be tons of other stuff there, like table numbers, dishes and silverware, favors, placecards, napkins, dishes with butter and salad dressing, and so on.

I am using empty wine bottles and placing peacock feather put of the top. There will be tea lights around the base of the wine bottle.

  • candles are your freind, and if you have a wedding theme add an element from that pumpkins for a fall wedding, beach balls for a beach wedding etc...
  • What about tall pillar candles on different height candle holders.  I saw a great picture on knot.com under centerpieces.
  • This may still count as 'floral', but have you considered potted plants or herbs?

Also you could have a basket or some kind of container filled with your favors, depending on what they are.

  • We wanted the guests to be able to see each other and talk to each other without ducking around the centerpieces.  We went with a mirror on each table, three votive candles, and scattered flower petals which matched the bouquets.  They were beautiful and gave a romantic look to the room.
  • I would love to use lanterns too!  Where did you find yours opalsky007?
  • I got them from snedcowholesale.com.
