Do dress embeleshments have to match shoes ??

Okay so heres my dress :
http://www.dhgate.com/2012-new-50-s-vintage-sweetheart-tea-length/p-ff8080813610d1e4013629336dff1138.html

And Im having a hard time finding shoes.
I hear some people say that embelshments "have" to match...but do they?
Am I going to be scoffed at if I don't choose shoes with lace to match the bolero or a belt buckle to match the dress belt??

I've been looking at something like this :
http://www.milanoo.com/Blue-3-1-2%5C%5C-High-Heel-Peep-Toe-PU-Fashion-Shoes-p49086.html?Promotion=linkshare&siteID=q5QZHUbCIj8-cEOxuEdHDiBXRVVrrKj6PQ

I want a peep toe , light blue pump. But I don't wanna look all mismatched if the shoes have something on them .Should I just stick to plain blue - no embelleshment??
Thanks gals ! :)

  • I don't think they need to match exactly.  If they look good together, then get what you want.
Did you receive your dress yet?  Just curious since the link you posted is to a Chinese knock-off site.  Let us know when you receive it how it turned out.
  • Matching the embellishments on the dress to the shoes sounds like an obsessive-compulsive disorder.  You want your entire look to coordinate.  Coordinate does not equate to match. Try the pieces on together to see if you like the look together.

  • No I didn't get it yet. SHould be here in a couple weeks.
My FI has ordered lots of stuff off that site and been happy with it, and since we are doign a super cheapie wedding I thought I'd try it ! ;) fingers crossed! haha

  • lol Magdala ! yes ! I personally don't even like the look of being too matchy matchy.
And in my eyes I think they'd be a cute match !  But i've been web surfing for days and starting to get lost in the sauce. haha
    thanks :)
  • I think they'd look awesome together! Go for it! What a beautiful dress and cute shoes to boot!
