When boobs get in the way...

My goodness! Two of my bridesmaids have DDs and we're finding it quite difficult to find dresses that will suit them. Its quite frustrating, and comical at the same time!

Oh, yeah- one of my girls is an E cup. We kept telling salons we were looking for church boob, not porn boob. In the end we found a dress that (sort of) worked, but she did look like the prow of a ship! She was gorgeous, though, and I must say, quite popular with the single gentlemen. ;)

One bridesmaid and I have that problem.  We went v-neck.  She had a modesty piece added, but I didn't.  Some pictures have a bit of a view.  Stay away from empire and strapless wasn't too good for us either.  High necks look like you are a sea of boobs too.

All my girls are pretty big up top, and we ended up with a boatneck dress that seemed to work for everyone.

i have two busty girls in my bridal party as well. I have decided to pick a color anf fabric and let each of them pick their own dresses at the bridal shop. I figure everyone will be comfortable that way.

they key to big boobs is proper support, make sure you as a bride or your bridesmaids can wear an amazing bra under their dress not a stick on bra or a strapless, those designs for bigger chested women are rediculous!!

I agree with schadbourne, you have to have the correct bra for support. I am a DD and between the bustier and the corset lacing of my dress I have no problems with a strapless dress.  Once you guys pick the dresses alterations can do wonders for any chest problems.  The dresses I tried on gave me the "boat" look too, but my seamstress is altering the bust under my arms to pull it back again my chest and presto! it works and looks 10 tmes better.

I have a large chest (32 EE) and it is ALL about the bra. I have an amazing strapless bra and I can wear anything-tube tops, spaghetti straps, strapless, etc.

I took me years to find bras that fit and supported me but now that I have my clothing options have doubled.

rknox88.....if you don't mind me asking, where did you find a good strapless bra.  I too am small yet pretty busty (32DD)....and I can NEVER find a bra I like (or one in my size for that matter).  I'd appreciate any insight on a good strapless bra!

    Thanks.

Nnoble4-it is a Playtex Secrets strapless convertable style # 4658. I got it from a shady strip mall store that I can't remember the name of but hopefully the style number will help!

I am a 34 G so i know a little about boobs getting in the way.I agree with those who say the Bra is key!! There are strapless bra's that support me, so I'm sure they can find one as well if needed. Good Luck

I have dd's.  You just need to look for dresses that flatter. A lot of things that would be "cute" on some girls are OBSCENE on me.  But all in all I don't have that much trouble.  I just stay away from spaghetti straps.  Strappless is fine or just a normal wider strap or sleve.  or just size up a LOT and have the rest of the gown taken in a lot, to make sure you have adiquite coverage.

LOL..So funny because I am the one with the DD's and I have a tiny frame so it was hard for me to pick the right style dress. You may want to try to find something with a string corset back that is easily adjustable. one of my girls has a large bust and she was very comfortable in the dress we all chose. it is a bill levkoff gown, style number 310. Comes in alot of different colors. it costs around $180
