Hello and congratulations to all!! I've never posted on the boards here before, but I figured this joyous occasion was a good way to start. Today was my 3rd dress appointment - David's Bridal first, then Alfred Angelo, and finally a local a salon in New Braunfels, Texas called Celebrations. The consultant was super-nice and helped pull dresses in my style that I hadn't even considered before... then she pulled this one.
The dress in the picture - Maggie Sottero's Gatsby - is a 10 and I will definitely be wearing a 12 or 14 (haven't ordered yet - waiting on a champagne swatch). I love the corset-shaped top (w/ a lace-up back), the beading, and the lace. My mom didn't have quite the reaction that I wanted, but I think she'll come around - I think she still wants me to be her dress-up doll (the wedding isn't til June 2012).
