Which type of shawl? (Pics in post)

Hi ladies!

I'm trying to decide what I like best here. I'm getting married in the wintertime and will be providing my bridesmaids with gray boots and shawls for pictures outside. But I can't figure out which style would look best with these dresses. What do you think?

The dresses:

The shoes:

Pashminas:

OR

Knitted Shawls (probably in a dark gray color):

  • Whichever is warmer.  Those poor bridesmaids in the sample picture look FREEZING.
  • Because their gown is more formal, and you won't really see the boots, I chose the pashmina. I love the knitted shawl but I think it throws off the look. Cute idea!

  • I LOVE the knitted shawl...it looks so cozy and warm and I like the contrast it gives against the dresses.  Beautiful!

  • I think the pashmina will be warmer then a knitted shawl since there's less room for air to move through it. Plus the pashmina is something I'd acutally use again whereas the shawl would probably end up going to Goodwill in my house.

  • Pashmina. It's more formal. I was in an October wedding last year, the ceremony took place out doors and the bride gave us all a pashmina in case the weather was cold and chilly. I didn't need it that day but I will tell you that I wore it all winter long. It was very warm and even though it was just a solid brown, I recieved many compliments. Not to mention, she ordered them off of Amazon.com for like 5 bucks a piece and they were beautiful. Don't pay any ridiculous price for those at the dept store or anything. :)
  • Thanks everyone! Pashminas it is! :)
  • I like the pashminas because of the contrast in fabrics with the boots.
