artwedding.com

Has anyone had any experience with artwedding.com?  I can only find a few reviews online and I just can't help but think it's to good to be true.  I mean REALLY a wedding dress that looks that good for $200.  What's the catch?  Anyone out there had any experiences with them?

Re: artwedding.com

  • You said it, it's too good to be true.  The pictures on their dite are not the actual gowns they make.  The quality of their manufacturing isn't gauranteed so your dress may not turn out exactly the you think it will (poor quality and inferior fabric).
Ignorance is a poor defense. Image and video hosting by TinyPic
  • read the FAQ at the top of this forum.  They are a chinese knockoff site.  You won't be getting the dress in the picture. you'll be getting a dress that someone in china is sewing together based on the picture... and usually, doing a horrible job with subpar fabric.

    Don't do it.

not sure about this site. but usually they are replica dresses. if you are unsure about the fabric and the colour they used, i would recommend you ask for a sample first so you know what you are getting. i have a few friends who havee bought from 7foxmall.com and they are happy about the dresses they received. maybe you can have a look there. just remember to have your measurement taken by a professional and look for what measurement they are after
  • I have been fighting with artwedding.com for two months now. I bought through Paypal to cover myself and they are completely useless. The dress came in missing the clasp at the top to close the dress and the zipper is broken. The dress does not even lay correctly and the bra built in is sewn in the completely wrong spots. After fighting with artwedding, they said I can return the dress to an address in California. This address does not come up with being connected to artwedding any where. I asked them to send this request through Paypal and they refuse to. Paypal asked them about the California address after I found out it was going to cost between $120 and $160 to send it back from the US to China and they only answered with "We'll agree to a 50% refund." Now Paypal is trying again to find out about this California address and if they don't agree I can either pay $140 for the shipping to only get back the price of the dress, $130, or I can just take it as a loss. Will never do this again. Should have went to David's Bridal in the first place.

  • NOT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!! I got my dress from them for free because of their contest. I love it! It is true to size and the fabric quality is amazing. Trust me, I've tried on a $2400 Simone Carvali and the satin has the same look and feel. My friend bought her wedding dress from them as well. She had an issue with them about lace. They said they ran out and weren't getting anymore of that style in, or something like that. So instead of using a different style lace, they sent it and let her decide what she wanted to do with it. So technically it was unfinished, but still wearable. If I recall correctly they gave her 50% off for their screw up. She used the savings toward the lace alterations and she got to pick out her own lace.
  • Hopefully this comment will paint a picture of just what you should expect from this site.  We have seen dresses on here which we recognised as a supplier in Scotland who makes bespoke Celtic and Vintage Wedding Dresses.

Then we see their dresses being sold for a fraction of the price on this www.artwedding.com website.  Using the owners photos to advertise.  If they have no concerns about ripping off the company who design the dress then be assured they will rip you off too.

The dress we saw sells for £1990 as a totally bespoke dress from Scotland.  It is made from pure silk and I would imagine costs around £500 for the fabric alone.  They sell this dress for $180, which is about £125.  HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?  I guarantee you WILL NOT get the dress in the picture.  You will get what you pay for.  RUBBISH!

Yes, we all know that wages in China are a fraction of those in Scotland.  But be realistic.  Half price maybe, but 7% of the price?  Not a chance.

It's the old saying about if it seems to good to be true.
