Where to buy undergarmets?

I need to get my undergarmets soon for alterations.  Because of my dress:  see below link  I can't wear anything to high up, or any type of bra.  I'm not sure if I can get anything that will make a difference that will hit at my lower part of my back and still make a difference
My big concern is tucking in my stomach and butt if possible.  Recommedations where to buy or what kind?  Didn't know if I should go to davids or to a department store

thanks for your help

Re: Where to buy undergarmets?

  • I don't think you need a bra.  How does the top fit you?  You can always have cups sewn in to give you some extra support.

As for the bottoms, I would try a pair of spanx.  I have a pair that hit at my waist and go to my knee that helps to smooth out my lower belly and butt.  I don't think they would come up high enough to be seen but you can always try spanx (or a similar brand) to see if they would work.

As for where to buy them you can try any department store.

  • I didn't think I needed a bra until I put on a corseted bra under the dress. OMG it totally changed the whole look of the dress. Gave me a waist, lifted my "girls" to where they should be and just overall made the look much more clean looking as well as making me feel more confident. I got lucky and found one on major clearance at Macy's for $12.99 down from $75.00 but you can find them online for between $40-80.00 -- and you can find ones that are have low backs as well, since your dress has openings in the back.

For bottoms I am wearing Spanx. I got mine at Nordstrom Rack for $17.99. Don't skimp and buy the Target branded Spanx --- they just roll down, no matter how much bigger you get them.
