Different b-maid accessory?

Instead of flowers I'm thinking of having b-maids carry a vintage/art deco clutch down the aisle.  This would then double as their gift.  Wedding "theme" is vintage glam in January.
I like flowers but I'm looking for ways to save money and I like things that are different.  Any thoughts on this?  Thanks!!

  • I think clutches sound lovely. However, if it's something they HAVE to use/wear during the ceremony, then it's not a gift.   Just make sure to get them something else that is specific to each girl's personality (shop for them like it's their birthday).    Or buy the clutches as a gift, but don't make it a mandatory part of their wedding outfit.

P.S.  My sister got me and her other bridesmaids personalized clutches on Etsy, with our names embroidered on the inside.  She found a lot of neat designs, and they came out really well.   I use the clutch on lots of formal occasions:-)

  • That sounds fun! Very unique and would fit with your theme perfectly! Or if you do want to incorporate flowers, maybe keep them simple and scaled down. Then maybe the clutch can be the gift. :)

This. If something is required for the wedding it is not a gift.
