Hi Girls,
My mother is so NOT a dress person. I wouldn't ever picture her in a formal dress (and especially not a shorter one), so I certainly do not anticipate her wearing one to my wedding. I'm trying to find some elegant, evening-wedding appropriate pant-suits under $150.00 to send her as suggestions. I'd like her to be in a dark blue, dark grey, or dark purple. Does anyone have any good suggestions? She's a bit self-conscious because of a scar on her collarbone, so she wants to be able to go into a store and look at the dresses in person beforehand. I've scoured dillards and jcpenney, but their selection of appropriate pant suits is slim. I've thought about finding a great two-piece dress, and then just letting her wear a nice, dressy pair of slacks instead of the skirt.
Also - due to a back injury, she cannot wear heels/mules/etc. Anyone have any advice for shoes that will still look dressy and feminine without causing her pain?
