XP: Veil help

I want to wear a cathedral length veil but I'm not sure whether to go with a 1 tier or 2 tier.  I had always envisioned walking down the aisle with a blusher and my father lifting it as he gives me away.  I don't want to wear the blusher the entire ceremony, it would just be for the walk down the aisle really.  My only thought is that maybe it would be too much with my dress?
I do also like the look of a plain 1 tier, so that is my other option.  It's simple yet elegant.  What are your thoughts?
This is my dress: http://allurebridals.com/Store_ProductDetail.aspx?pid=1867D5264895hgIc1DG4
Also, if anyone has any recommendations for good and cheap veils, I would appreciate it.  I really don't want to shell out the hundreds that bridal stores charge.  I'm thinking ebay or Etsy?  If you've bought from either of those, were you happy with your veil?
Thanks!

  • I am in the same boat you are in,  I plan on wearing a cathederal veil but I want to wear a blusher also.  From what I believe the Cathederal length veil you can have the blusher added on.  Your dress is really pretty, I can't quite tell if it would be too much without seeing a picture with you in it. Goodluck!

[QUOTE]In Response to XP: Veil help : I am quoting you so that I can read your post.  The format is wonky. How formal is your ceremony?  A cathedral length veil should only be worn at the most formal ceremonies.  Most veils these days are very simple.  Daughter wore a chapel length veil which was circular cut.  Her father teared up when he saw it.  You should try on different styles at a bridal salon.  Compare prices with websites like <a href="http://www.wedding-veil.com/discount-veilsand" rel="nofollow">http://www.wedding-veil.com/discount-veilsand</a> <a href="http://www.whitedovebridal.com." rel="nofollow">http://www.whitedovebridal.com.</a> We bought ours at the last place.

</div><div>Woops!  Sorry about the format! I don't know what happened...I copied it over from the board I originally posted it to.</div><div>
</div><div>Anyway, the ceremony is going to be pretty formal.  Not as formal as in a church though, I guess. (FI is not that religious so I didn't want to force him to get married in a church if he didn't want to).  The ceremony will be about 30 minutes - we have some cultural traditions from my heritage that we are incorporating.</div>
