I REALLY need help ( & opinions!)

I'm getting married in June. My hair is currently half way down my back. I used to LOVE my long hair... but I'm getting so sick of it! (not to mention, being in cosmetology school serious makes me want to change my hair.)

I need your opinions. 

Should I cut my hair short (above my shoulders) now, or should I leave my hair long until after the wedding and then cut it?

Are there any good short wedding styles?

Let me have it!

You'll have so many more options for hairstyles if you leave it long. June is really not that far off, so if you feel like you can wait, you should try. If it really is halfway down your back though, perhaps you could cut a few inches off which will make it feel lighter and slightly different, but still be long enough to work with on your wedding day.

i agree w/ PP.  just cut some of it off now...not up to your shoulders though.  leave it a bit longer b/c it will grow back by then.  also...have you gone for your hair trials yet?  your stylist will tell you how long your hair should be for the style you want.

You could go in-between.  Maybe a little longer than shoulder length and you'll still have plenty of options.

I just chopped off 8-inches last week and my wedding is in June.  My hairdresser said it should grow about 4-inches between now and then.  

Think about how you want to wear your hair for your wedding and what sort of length you will need for it.  I want to wear my hair 1/2 down and even if my hair didn't grow at all I could still do that style.  However, if you want an up-do that needs a lot of hair, just cut off an inch or two.

Just have an open conversation with a hairdresser that you know and trust and see what she says.

My hair was at about shoulder length around the time of my wedding and I was having so many issues with finding a hair style.  If you feel like it's too long then maybe just take a couple of inches off until after your wedding.

Dont cut it! I have hair down to my belt and im going to keep it long until the wedding and after, cut it and donate it! You can do a lot of cool things with long hair, just wait it out, keep it trimmed and healthy. I agree with the hideous hairstyles that girls in cosmetology school have and I think that classic healthy hair is always beautiful.

I would recommend not chopping it off. I chopped mine off because I was so sick of it. I was so bored of it. I love my hair short but now I'm worried about what I'm going to do with my hair for the wedding. I'm not terribly worried because I know that however it ends up being done will be cute.

Although, I have decided to start growing it back out to a length that will at least be able to be put up somewhat.

I wound up chopping it off... and I am SO happy with it!
