Places to purchase reasonable wedding dresses (online and offline)

I live in MD close to DC and VA. I'm definitely on a budget and am not sure where to purchase a nice but reasonably priced wedding dress. I'm looking to pay $200-$300 for the dress. I'm willing to try both online shops and stores even considered using eBay. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You will find dresses in your price range on those sites.
If you want to go try on dresses I would recommend David's Bridal. Look on there website and find ones you like in your price range then go to the store and try them on. They have some for $99.

    Good luck finding a dress!

Not sure what kind of dress you are looking for but I am trying to sell mine (I bought a dress then completely changed my wedding and the first dress no longer fit the new venue so I bought another). I have it up on tradesy.com for $200 if you want to take a look. Here is a link:

  • Craigslist. There always a lot listed. Many can be tried on before you buy.

  • I had a great experience at David's Bridal.  I think it's a great place to go and at least try on dresses so you can see yourself in a variety of styles and silhouettes.  Even if you don't end up buying there (although I got a dress that was originally $649 for $349 and now it's down to $249!) you will at least know what styles look good on your figure for when you're shopping online.  Good luck!
  • I found my dress at David's Bridal, but didn't like the $1200 price tag. I kept an eye out for it on ebay and ended up purchasing it brand new for only $500. Just be careful to check out the seller and read the description very carefully.
  • I got my dress online from David's Bridal. It was during one of their $99 sales, and they had free shipping, so I only paid $105.19 for my dress, make sure you love it, read the comments, maybe try it on in the store. If you order it online and don't like it, you have 14 days to return it for a full return! Highly recommend DB.

  • I second department stores. Especially now, you can probably score a white prom dress. JCrew's website has a wedding section.
