final dress fittings

Anyone who has had to have alterations on their dress......and if the alteration person keeps your dress until closer to your wedding.....If you have your final dress fitting and everything is fitting to how you want it....do you usually go back and try it on like a week before your wedding just to make sure it still fits?

You shouldn't be getting your alterations done until aout 5-6 weeks (max) before your wedding.  That way you'll most likely be at your weight for the wedding.  However, you can try it on as many times as you like and want PRIOR to have the dress steamed for the wedding (which usually happens the week before)
