Plus-sized, broke-ass bridal gown woes

Hi girls,

When I started thinking about my wedding dress, I decided I didn't want to spend a fortune on a dress for one day. I mean don't get me wrong, I am impressed by the importance of the dress and do not begrudge anyone their princess-fantasy indulgence. I just believe in living within your means, even on your wedding day. Last year at her wedding, my sister wore a beautiful silk gown encrusted with jewels and lace that cost almost as much as I make in a month and she looked stunning in it, but she's a size 12, where as I'm a size 28. Even if I wanted to spend that kind of cash, I don't think all that glitz would do me any favors. I tried on some traditional wedding dresses to see if maybe I wasn't giving them a fair shake, and I was incredibly underwhelmed. Everything looked wrong on my body. I looked like a sad, bedazzled rhinoceros.

I say all that to say, I love, love, love these gowns:

I love their simplicity, the fact that the construction of the gown speaks for itself without miles of train and tulle, no corsetry, no bling. They are unfussy, and look like I could wear a relatively normal bra underneath them and dance and party all night. However. They're all well over the budget I set for my dress, which is a paltry $300. Does anyone know where I can find simple, clean-lined dresses like these in a size 28 or above for pretty much no money?
