Something blue in the form of garter

Wedding tradition dictates that something blue should be used. Not sure how that originally came about but I found these gorgeous aqua blue wedding garter set.
I myself do not wear garters, but I think the occasion calls for one. I don't believe in spending loads on something like this but at the same time, not wanting to go with a garter maufactured wholesale. personally think it ruins the whole look.
Anyway i was able to find a nice ruffle one. What do you think girls?

  • That's really cute!  Though I'm sure if you shop around you might be able to find a cheaper one. You can always re-sell too.

  • That is so pretty! exactly the kind of garter i had been looking for!! Awesome!!
  • I agree with "Getting2Vowels" it's cute but you could find something cheaper if that's a priority.  Etsy is a good place to look though!
  • Hi!  Not sure if you absolutely want to wear a garter or not, but if you are open to wearing something else in the form of "blue" I have a suggestion.  I was given a garter to wear for my wedding day, but sine I wasn't doing the traditonal garter toss, I didn't feel the need to wear it.  Plus, I could feel it and it felt like it was going to slip down with every move I made.  So, instead I bought Hanky Panky panties from Nordstrom.  They are blue and have rhinestones on the side that spell out "I DO."  I think they were around $12-20 for them.  Can't remember.  They were really cute and I can wear them again!  Just a thought incase you don't really want to wear a garter!

  • That is super cute but really expensive.  I made my blue garter this weekend for like $7.  Check out the diy if you are interested, or shop around for something less.

  • Really?! Do you find them too expensive? I thought they are different from the usual garters, so I thought it was worth it. But I've never bought garters before to even know what is considered epensive.

I think it's way too expensive, really.
  • Really? $29.95 for a garter set? My thought is, it's not mass produce and it's pretty and different....

I'm suspecting that you're the esty seller of these garters, based on this post and a past post about the same thing.  If so, I suggest that you stop, as vendors aren't allowed on the boards.  That said, the garters are beautiful, but they're very expensive for what's basically a pretty, but useless, piece of fabric that you wear for a few hours.
