Female usher attire

We are having my brother and a close female friend usher.  The bridesmaids are wearing long light blue dresses, the groomsmen are wearing black tuxedos with a red tie, my brother is wearing a black tux with a platinum tie.  What would be a good idea/appropriate for the female usher to wear?

what about a little black dress? or you can toe her into the girls more with a darker blue one.

Little black dress. That way she can wear one she already owns.

She's not in the wedding party, so she can wear whatever she wants.  If she asks you for input, I think a little black dress would look just fine.
