Yay! Finally on the right track with wedding dresses.

So my fiance has some definite ideas about what he'd like my dress to look like: minimalist, simple, non-poufy, no ruffles, no bling, no lace, no ruching, halter neckline and maybe short.

Luckily, we agree entirely. I have so additional thoughts of my own-But it has to be the right kind of halter neckline, the right feeling, sleek, a little sexy, smooth silky fabric, structured bodice so my breasts look good. And* It must fit in a carry on suitcase. And I don't want to pay over $250. 

Impossible to find! I've looked all over the internet. Seriously. I've looked in department stores. I've looked in secondhand stores and called around to local bridal shops. I looked at some bridesmaid dresses in white, but have only found one dress that meets my needs. But I'm not in love with it. 

Finally, tonight I looked on House of Brides in the bridesmaid's dresses again.  I found so many maybes!!! I finally feel like I have a choice. Yay

Be careful w/ the House of Brides....they've gotten some bad reviews and I heard their Customer Service is awful....Google reviews before you set your heart on them. Just wanted to give you a heads up - don't mean to pop your balloon.

We're thinking on moving the wedding date up to this fall (5 months away), so I'm looking quick.

I agree - that one is stunning!

I think a big difference with that one is that it's designed as a halter, not one where they have just added a strap.
