XP From April 2011: Are you dying your shoes?

I am pretty sure I want to wear shoes that match the purple of my bridesmaids dresses. I have searched high and low for heels I like in a similar shade of purple. I only find eggplant or pale, pale purple shoes, and no styles that I like! I am considering dying the shoes, but I'm so scared of the color running on my dress. It isn't an outdoor wedding, but hey, it is April so there could be rain....
Also, does dying shrink the shoe?

I want to dye my shoes purple as well! I have the Badgley Mischka Randall shoe in white because I too, was unable to find a true purple shoe that I liked. I got so excited when I saw that this shoe came in purple only when I ordered it, it was too dark I never thought it would be this difficult . If you find a professional that you really like and who won't have color stained on random parts of the shoe , let me know!!! I'm not too much worried about wearing them again, I don't things most things in a wedding are re-used anymore anyway!!!
