What to wear as a guest?

Hi all!

So I'm going to a wedding (actually, it's a "vow renewal" under the title of a wedding) next weekend for a friend of mine. It's being held in a barn (no AC) in late afternoon/evening.... we're expecting the temps to be at least ~90 degrees that day. It seems like it's going to be a casual event -- BBQ food on paper plates, beer, and dancing sort of thing. So I'm wondering what the heck should I wear?!

I have a dress from H&M which I love, but I'll have to wear heels with it (also not fun, considering it'll all be on dirt/grass) and I'm a little apprehensive that it may be more "formal" for such a casual wedding. But I don't want to be underdressed by wearing shorts!!

Which one should I wear?!

I really like that blouse but I'd pair it with capris or longer bermuda shorts in a more fancy matieral. Something like a cotton sateen.

I would go with a floral printed sundress where you can wear flats.  Cute and casual

I like the top, but I'd pair it with capris or a skirt, no shorts.  The dress is cute too, but the fabric looks a little stiff/heavy (from the picture) for 90 degrees, so I'd probably pass.  Otherwise, I'd say just find a cute cotton sundress and some dressy flats.

OMG - shorts to a wedding/vow renewal - NEVER!. Find a cute little sundress with flats or low-heeled sandals or espadrille wedges - something easy to walk in on an uneven surface. Be stylish while still being casual. Remember a small purse - not your everyday one.
