Help me decide...shoes!

I found these on Zappos

http://www.zappos.com/multiview/7665156/12664

I am falling in love with so many heels, but am a little unsure about wearing them for the wedding.

Typically, I wear ballet flats to work...I'm a teacher so I'm on my feet all day long. I want to be comfortable, and found these and they are exactly what I would wear on a day to day basis. BUT, they are the same fuschia shade I have been look for.

Do these shoes look specials enough for a wedding? Or should I buy a pair of beautiful heels and wear them for the ceremony, and then switch to these for the reception? Thoughts? Reccomendations?

TIA:)

  • Those are really cute! You could wear them for the ceremony. You would definitely be more comfortable since you wear flats on a daily basis.

  • I'm a heels girl usually, but those flats are lovely! I think you need to wear whatever will make you feel the most comfortable for your wedding day. If you love the flats, and will feel fabulous in them, go with those.

If you're still debating wearing a heel for the ceremony, you could buy a pair of a similar heel height to what you're considering, wear them around for a couple of weeks to get used to them, and then make a final decision. You have plenty of time. :)

  • I have to agree with you. I'm making myself wear heels more often when FI and I go out on the weekends. I'm trying to get used to them...I have a little under 10 mos to get used to wearing heels.

Are heels with platforms more comfortable than regualr heels?

  • Platforms or wedges give you more support, and I know a lot of people who find them more comfortable than stilettos or other narrow heels.

Personally, I wear 2-4 inch stilettos every day, and I've gotten so used to them that I honestly find it easier to walk in heels than in flats. So I think it all depends on what you're used to. 10 months is a fairly long time. If you found a style (wedge or narrow heel) that you fell in love with, you could easily become comfortable enough in it to wear it for your wedding ceremony.

  • Those are awesome and look so comfy too. But I agree with PP--if you really do want to wear heels, platform and wedge heels are usually the most foot-friendly.
  • Very cute! I think they are fine for wedding shoes. Just make sure you take them along when you go for your fittings.

One of the girls on my June board wore ballet flats with her dress for the entire wedding. Its your day - do what you want.
  • Thanks for all the input and advice ladies :-)

I am loving these shoes definetley...they will be a top contender for shoes. I think if I find a pair of heels that I am drooling over I will buy a similar pair and wear them out and about to get used to heels...if I go that route.

    Again thanks!
