Looking for a 2nd dress

Okay, so mum hates my $60 vintage dress so I'm reluctantly looking for another dress.  I am petite and curvy and looking for a pre-loved David's bridal petite dress but most of the websites I've searched don't let you search for petite dresses easily.  Can anyone help?

Exactly!  Wear that vintage dress.  You go, grrl!
  • Check nordstrom...there are some cute ones and you can search Petite. I got mine on Nordstrom and I'm petite. I ordered like 7 until I found the right one but the shipping is super fast and you can just take it back to the store if it doesn't work!

Ditto! You should follow your heart. If you like the dress, just tell you mom, you  love it.
  • Wear a dress that YOU love. My brother's wife got bullied by her mom to buy a dress she wasn't crazy about and I always felt SO bad for her. She looked great... but I wish she had worn a dress that she was crazy about.

the bad thing is, while your mom may not love your vintage dress if you love it and its the one that speaks to you then you're liekly not gonna be happy in anything else.

so you have to choose whose happiness is more important on your wedding day; your happiness with what your wearing when you walk down the isle and take the pictures you'll have for the rest of your life; or your moms happiness.

personally, i'd stick withthe vintage dress and tell my mom gently but firmly that i loved her and appreciated her adivce but my dress was not debatable.

She may not like you but will you regret not wearing it. If you are reluctently searching then you will. Stick with the dress that will make you happy. She'll love it once she sees you as a bride and you're on the big day.
