What were some things you got for your girls?  What is like the average people spend?
DId anyone do paying for thier hair or main pedi's in leiu of a gift?  Or did you still do a gift on top of that?
Any help would be great,a s this is the last BIG check on my list and my wedding is next month :)

Let's see, I got my girls necklace and earring sets that I had made on Etsy, a silver clutch, and a Pashima shawl.  I picked things that they could wear to the wedding, but that could also be used again.  I spent about $40 a girl.  I plan on doing a little something extra for my MOH.  I haven't decided what yet, but I was thinking of offering to pay to have her hair done if she wanted it.  Hope that helps!

I did a smaller gift and chose to pay for hair and hopefully mani/pedis.

I got them a Coach wristlet (Outlet stores!) And sign up for their coupons, you get 20% off outlet prices!

I also got them a necklace that comes in a keepsake box.

I made most of my girls gifts (Tote bag, jewlery {for everyday wear and wedding}, tank tops, glasses with their initial) plus a picture frame, and a jewelry roll and spent about $40 on each girl.

I also intend to get something a little extra for my MOH as she has been a HUGE help :)

I did offer to pay for their hair and or make-up, but they all declined and wanted to pay for it themselves.

When my cousin got married, she paid for our nails to get done, which was nice.

I got each of my girls a tote bag, a short fleece bathrobe, a 'bridesmaid' tank top, and a small photo album clutch. I also got them necklaces, which I will give them the night of the rehearsal. I will also be paying for manis/pedis when we go the day before the wedding.

I bought the girls necklaces as gifts. I am not requiring them to get their hair or nails done, but will offer to pay for hair. I've never been in a wedding where hair/nails were required, but I would expect them to be paid for if they were, not part of my gift. Just something to think about. I think the other posters are pretty spot on with the gift amount. $40-50/BM is pretty average, though some do spend less and more.

I asked a couple of my bridesmaids if they'd rather I pay for hair and/or make-up or get them gifts and they had actually preferred a gift b/c they figured they's get their hair done whether or not I was paying for it.

I ended up getting them each a clutch from Coach (they were all different for each girl), a necklace to wear at the wedding, brridesmaid tanks, and then when they arrived at the reception, there were flip flops labeled for each of them to change into for dancing :) My girls had a good response to everything.

I'm making them all necklaces/earrings, each different, hopefully suited to them to wear again.  I'm getting 2 of them gift cards for masages, my man of honor is getting amethyst dice, and I haven't decided what to get my neice-to-be as she's only 12.  I'm not sure if it would be appropriate to get her a gift card to the same spa as her mom.

    I got them:

Pearl (ribbon necklace) & Earring Set
    Pashminas
Bridesmaid Emergency Kit, which I did to be cheesey but they all loved them!
    Bridesmaid Tank-Tops

I arranged for accomodations for the days leading up to the wedding instead of them having to pay for hotels since they were all from OOT. They were very appreciative of this. I also took them out for a BM luncheon and paid for that as well!

I'm thinking of doing a braclet or necklace that they can wear with their dress, but wear again.  I know a girl who makes jewlery so I'd like to do custom so it's "signature" to my wedding.

I'm also getting old navy flip flops for the reception (and ceremony if they want because that's what I'm wearing!)  On the bottom we're going to write something like a memory or code word for just me and that girl.

I want to get those engraved BM or GM champange glasses if I can find them cheap enough for the reception, then they can take them home.

Finally, I am not requring that they get their nails, feet or make up done but do expect that they will at least pick up a new bottle of nail polish to do their nails the night before.  I can't afford to do everyone's hair, but I have a couple who I trust can their own and so far they are fine with paying for their own hair.

I LOVE the idea of the BM survival kit, what did you put in yours?
