  • I wore 2-3 inch heels for my wedding.  I liked them for pictures, but that was the only time I actually wore them.  The rest of the time I wore flip flops.  This was an issue that I had trouble deciding on, too.  I wanted to be comfortable, but I also wanted my shoes to look nice.  It's really up to you - I have a friend who wore white, sparkly flats in her February wedding and they looked adorable.  Good luck!

  • My shoes are 3 1/2 inches and I really think I would go no higher. They are a happy medium for me--easy enough to walk in without feeling like I am walking on stilts while still being pretty!

  • I bought 2.5" heals.  I wanted something low enough that I would feel comfortable wearing them all day/night (I didn't want to change out of them and have my dress drag on the ground) but something more than a flat.

I wore boots, and that's not an option on your poll

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
  • Mine were a one inch open toe heal and I was so happy I went with them. They were very comfy all day long, through dancing and all. For the little bit that anyone actually sees you feet, they looked nice enough I'm of course generally a big fan of how high heals make feet/ legs look nicer than flats, but with a floor length dress it wasn't that important to me
  • Mine are 3.5" with platform. They are much higher than I thought I'd get, but they match my dress perfectly and they were on sale so I went for them. They're not bad to walk in either, but I really wouldn't want anything higher. Here's a picture:

  • I'm wearing flats. It's been years since I wore high heels because I'm a nurse who wears tennis shoes all day every day, so I can't walk on them anymore without being in excruciating pain. I was originally going to go barefoot, but my dress is ever so slightly too long to wear without shoes of some sort.

I wore very dressy Kate Spade flats and it was the best decision EVER.

We did tons of walking on grass, etc, for pictures.

I can walk in heels quite well, but wearing flats was so stress-free.
  • I wore about 3.5 inch heels for my ceremony and some pictures.  After a few pictures post ceremony my feet were screaming so I changed into my 3.5 inch foam wedge flip flops I got through Victorias Secret.  Thank the lord I decided to get a second pair of shoes because my butt would have been bare foot all night dragging around my dress because my ceremony shoes just were not going to cut it all night.

  • I'm wearing 4 inch Stuart Weitzmans because I don't want to look like a 5'3 dwarf next to my 6 ft FI, 5'11 sister and 5'10 best friend (the curse of being short!) - they are the most comfortable heels I've ever worn so I'm not too worried about my feet hurting! But I'm also bringing my sparkly gold ballet flats to dance in at the reception... just because I can dance better in flats!
  • I am planning on bright blue flats with gemstone buckle.   My bridal party is wearing shades of blue.
  • I will be wearing Converse Sneakers - not an option on your poll

This is funny because ALL my heels that i normally where when i go out are at least 3 1/2 inches. The shoes I am going to wear for my wedding are under that- i think they are 2 1/2inches. Why? Because lets be real here-when i go out in 3 1/2 or more-my feet start to hurt at some point. And I have to make sure that on my wedding day my shoes are comfortable, because I have to make my smile is real and not masking the pain that i feel in the heels! So, no i don't regret the shoes i picked! For the reception, I bought these really really pretty beaded slippers. I want to be able to dance all night!
  • I wore these:

I think they are between 3 and 3.5, but I'm not sure. They were very comfy; I wore them for almost 6 hours, and our ceremony was in the grass. I changed into blue flats when it started raining a bit, which makes me a little said because some of our best pictures came after I changed shoes.

  • adktd2boots - I'm also wearing boots!  It's a January wedding in the snow, so I didn't want to have cold, wet feet.  I'm looking forward to wearing them!  They don't really have much of a heel - I guess a kitten heel?  I've actually never heard of that phrase before.

  • Ill be wearing Kate Spade Charm, which are 4".

  • I'm wearing flats.  Not positive yet, but I'm thinking the peep-toe dessy ones below.

I'm only 5'3", and my FI 6'1", MOH is 5'10".... but I don't care.  I just care about being comfy on my wedding day, so flats it is.  When I wear heels, I look like Bambie when he was first learning to walk.

I may even change into my plainer, more comfortable flats for dancing.

  • My heels were silver peep toe with about a 1.5 heel. Somehow even those bothered me after a few hours of wearing them and I changed to platform sparkly flip flops promptly after the ceremony. Nobody knew about my shoe change and I was so much more comfortable. No matter what shoes you end up wearing, always have a back up pair with you just incase. I thought I'd be wearing my dressier shoes for much longer into the day.

  • I'm wearing nude Ferragamo flats.  They cost more than my dress did, but I'll wear them for years to come whereas my dress is a one-day item.
  • I haven't purchased my shoes, but they will be high.  I may get platform flip-flops for the reception.  I am 5'3" and FI and my MOH/only BM are 5'11", so I wouldn't even consider not wearing heels (not to mention I always wear them anyway).

  • My shoes are 3 1/4 which is the highest recommended for my dress. I have my first fitting tomorrow with shoes and dress so hopefully they are ok.
  • im tall... 5'9, i LOVE heels, but if I wear them ill be as tall as my groom, so flat shoes it is.
