Advice for a Scottish Wedding? Help?

I am marrying a Scots man and he is wearing his kilt (of course) I am having trouble figuring out my dress. I want something peasant like but without sleeves because I had sleeves on my first wedding dress, but I can't do strapless because of a not so well placed tatoo I got as a teenager grrr. Our theme is a scottish pub. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

  • I agree with PP.  It's very common for the woman to wear the grooms tartan once they have gotten married.  If that's not an option you want to go with I would then suggest perhaps looking into one of those tattoo cover up kits.  I've heard that some of them are are amazing.  Good Luck!

  • Do you have to cover the tattoo? Why not show it off? Dont like the design? maybe you could get it covered with a new one
  • The tattoo is very poorly done a friend did it when we were teenagers it's not one I ever like to show and especially on my wedding day. It is on my breast so no strapless and even though I like the idea of the scarf  we are having a handfasting ceremony using his tartan so I think that might be over kill on the tartan. I don't know I just need a dress that looks like it would fit in both a wedding and an old fashion pub lol. Undecided
