What kind of veil would you wear?

This is my dress, what kind of veil should I wear? I am open to anything, from no veil, flower crown, to cathedral or birdcage. What do you think would make the most sense?

Re: What kind of veil would you wear?

  • Hi there, if I were you, I would choose a short veil about waist length. The skirt and train of this dress are gorgeous, a long veil will cover its beauty. However, it still depends on your personal preference. You can go to a local bridal shop to try different veils on.

  • Try it on with your dress!  I thought I wanted a birdcage but until I was in the dress, that was the only way I was able to figure out my veil.  My salon let me do an accessories appointment.  I got into the dress and tried on different veils, belts, shoes.  It was really helpful to get a sense of what I liked and what I didnt' like.
  • I am only a fan of very simple one tier veils that are either fingertip or cathedral length.  I think either of them would look gorgeous with your dress.

  • I would go with a fingertip length just because of where the pickups are in the dress, but thats me.

I would NOT wear a flower crown with that dress- to me, a flower crown would look more appropriate with a simpler, flowy gown, not a more formal, detailed ballgown.

  • I would go with the cathedral, birdcage veil, or one large flower fascinator would look really beautiful!
