Maggie Sotterro Grace--under the gown

Dear Hive Mind,

I'm wearing Maggie Sottero's Grace and need some opinions about what goes underneath. Do most brides wear some sort of slimmer? I'm not planning on wearing hose, or a bra (it is being built into the dress due to the open corset back)

I'm athletic and petite and have never worn or considered wearing a slimmer.

Thoughts?

If you're having the bra built into the dress, I'd say just wear underwear and don't worry about anything else.  If you're athletic and petite, you obviously don't need a slimmer, anyway.

I wore Grace, and I didn't wear anything except underwear.  If the corset is tied correctly, you won't need anything.

Ditto pp.. if you're having a built in bra, I wouldn't worry about any other undergarments. I'm only wearing underwear under my gown.. no slimmer.. no crinoline.. no bustier. I always thought I had to go out and spend a bunch of money on the "necessary undergarments" and am so glad I didn't.

Maggie Sottero lace up gowns don't need anything under them (the bra cups sewn in is a great idea though).  Once the gown is laced up it will make you slimmer than you already are!
