Bridesmaids shoes

My colors are Navy Blue and the touch & pop of Sunbeam Yellow and white (because we just cant get around it for the reception).

My bridesmaids will be wearing long formal navy blue dresses and their bouquets will be yellow. Idk what color shoes to have them search for. My mom & MIL told me their shoes had to match their dresses. But Im torn between same color or breaking out into something different.. how well will silver or yellow shoes go with the color scheme??

[QUOTE]I'd ask your BMs what color shoes they already own, and go with something everyone has. Black is a no brainer, but if everyone has gold that would go nicely too. This is not something to be picky about. Your BMs have long dresses, and no one is going to be inspecting their shoes to make sure they all have identical footwear. If you decide that you must have specific shoes, you will be responsible for paying for them.

Agree with this.  Pick a color with your bridesmaids and leave it at that - a long dress won't show the shoe long enough for anyone to see or care that shoes are different.  I think my bridesmaids shoes are visible in two or three pictures and it's nearly impossible to tell they are different styles of silver. Nude, gold, black - all would work.

  • THANK YOU!! the girls have been asking what color.. I am a very detailed orientated...but when it comes down to my wedding.. I am second guessing almost EVERYTHING! And they keep saying its my day and if there is something I want them to have they will get it.

I am meeting with them on Saturday to discuss the matter along with other wedding things.
  • Honestly, I'm not a fan of the matching shoe color.  I don't wear blue shoes with a blue dress in normal life- why would I do it in a wedding?  Let everyone do a neutral like they would normally.
