Where to find a colored wedding dress - Fern

Hey ladies,

My girlfriend at work is getting married in November and wants a fern colored wedding dress.  Do any of you know where to find colored dresses? Even online?

Or anyone know anything about the ability to dye a weddnig gown bought at a bridal shop?

Any help would be much appreciated.

She should check out www.wai-ching.com. Especially if you guys are in Portland, she could drive up to see Chrissy. Otherwise, Chrissy can do everything remote, she'll just need to send in her measurements.

Has she considered a bridesmaid dress?  It would be the easiest way to get an elegant, full-colour dress without getting it custom-made.

There are a few bridal lines that carry some coloured dresses but they usually are accents (train, beading, sashes) - Alfred Angelo has some for sure (called "Dream in Color".

offbeatbride.com has lots of ideas for coloured dresses as well.

I wouldn't suggest dyeing a white wedding dress since the dye may take differently to different parts of the dress or different fabrics in the dress and for such an expensive garment I wouldn't risk it.

along with the bm dress idea, has she looked into any prom dresses? sounds very high school, but i know a lot of salons have great dresses.
