Sharing my BM dresses-convertible

So there's quite a range in my girls' body shapes, as there is with all women. Wanted to share the link to etsy for the dresses I purchased in purple. The purple color is great and the material is awesome. Plus the girls can 'wear' the dress in any style they like --which I love because I didn't want my bridesmaids to all look similar. For the more 'bustier' girls I also ordered the modesty top for more coverage. I recommend these dresses if you are stuck like I was. You can also youtube the dress and see videos of ALL the many ways for the girls to wear it. My sister wants to wear it one way for the ceremony and change it for the reception. Awesome idea! Hope this helps someone else, because the whole BM dress to-do gave me major stress headahces!

Anyone else have any good/bad things to say about these dresses?

Re: Sharing my BM dresses-convertible

  • Didn't you find that jersey was not good on the heavier girls? I think jersey shows every lump and bump...

  • I too find that jersey isn't very forgiving.  I also hate how the hems of this style never hangs evenly.  I pretty much think they look cheap and some of the wrap options look trashy and tacky.
  • I think these dresses are nice... in theory. I had my BM's try on the Dessy version of this dress, and had a similar problem with the jersey material; every single bump or lump showed up and they hated them. If you have BM's that have model-esque body's, I'm sure they'd work great, especially for a less formal wedding. But I have to agree with the PP's... not my favorite dresses

  • FWIW I like them.  We're having a very casual wedding and I let my BMs pick their dresses, and they all wanted the convertible dress!  I agree that the bandeau tops you can get with them are an EXCELLENT idea if the girls are bustier, as the wrap options are difficult to wear a proper bra with.

I like the idea, but I also find that material to cling and show every lump, etc..no matter what size they are.
