I just got married two weeks ago and have decided that although I absolutely adore my wedding gown, there is no reason to keep it and let it go to waste collecting dust in the back of my closet. So, I am looking to sell it at a discounted rate to someone who will love it just as much as me and who's looking for a good deal on their wedding gown.
I purchased the gown from Victoria's Bridal Couture in Seattle, WA for $945 and then paid an additional $290 for alterations which included having a french bustle put in. There are color coordinated strings underneath the gown that make the bustle easy to work with. Seeing as my wedding was only a couple of weeks ago, I have not yet taken the gown to be dry cleaned. It does not have any stains on it, but was worn for about four hours outdoors and would probably benefit from a good cleaning before worn by another bride. The veil is a two tier ivory colored elbow length veil with silver beaded along the edges, which I purchased on eBay for $30.
I am asking for $700 for the gown and $25 for the veil. I am willing to negotiate prices and lower the price to a potential buyer with the best offer, within reason of course. Also, if potentional buyers would prefer that I have the dress cleaned before they pick it up or it is shipped I would be adjusting the price based off of the charge at the dry cleaner as well as the shipping cost. This gown is absolutely stunning and is worth every penny!
