Maid of Honor Rehearsal Dinner Attire

Hello everyone, I just had a question about something I was thinking about wearing to a friend's rehearsal dinner. I found a dress that I really like but I don't know if it's considered inappropriate. The dress has white under a black lace overlay. Is that okay or taboo? I don't want to ask the bride because I don't want her to feel obligated to tell me what I want to hear.

    That sounds fine, as long as it suits the formality. My MOH wore ripped jeans and a tank top.

    I think it sounds fine.  As long as it's not 100% white and it's appropriate for the formality, then you're good.

    What is everyone else wearing?  We all wore jeans to our rehearsal and dinner.

    I wouldn't personally think to wear jeans to a rehearsal dinner so I'd check with the bride.  Sounds like a very pretty dress!  Got a link? :)
