Ok, Are crinoline and petticoat the same thing, or is a petticoat just made of crinoline? I'm trying to understand the lingo.
Anyway, my dress is referreed to as a "slim a-line" on the webiste but really is basically a mermaid (adorae)... I want it to lean more of an aline look than mermaid, to be poofier or flow out higher ...otherwise its parfect.
When I bought my dress I ordered a mermaid petticoat but I'm wondering if there is a way to add a little more volume. Can a seamstress add more crinoline to affect that? The woman I bought my dress from said you couldn't put an Aline petticoat with it as it would be too big.
Sorry but I"m totally confused.
