Online wedding discount stores for dress shopping?

Has anyone purchased any of their dresses for either yourself, bridal party, or flower girl?

I found the most gourgeous dress at the boutique where i got my fitting done last week and when i askled about the price they said 160 +50 b/c we have to rush it to make sure it is here by 09-25. I think thats a bit much. I found it online for $92 with the rush. I'm strongly considering ordering it online but dont want to take a huge chance so close to the wedding.

Please let me know your experiences. The site I dounf the dress on is topbridaldresses.com

  • I ordered my BM dresses and FG dresses online. @ cutieclothes.com. i ordered 4 BM dresses and 1 FG dress and i also ordered a ring bearer's tux. It was actually a very smooth transaction i recieved all my stuff within the time frame they said (5-9 business days) and i had free shipping (which was the best part!!)

  • PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I bought my wedding gown online at www.evescharm.com and it was the worst experience that I ever have. The dress is about $200 however you will have to complete the complicated measurement instruction and it took them two weeks to ship out the wedding gown to me.
I was so disappointed when I saw the dress. Oh my gosh, the lining is horrible and the quality looks so cheap! A perfect example of "you buy cheap, you buy twice".
I request a refund but the company is actually based in China and they refused the return. Frankly I wasted $200 which I can save up to buy the gown of my dream.

I got a referral from my friend's co-worker who got married last month. She has a beautiful and elegant wedding gown custom-made from this bridal boutique in L.A. for $1000 and she also got the personalized save-the-date cards, wedding invitations, bridal shower invitations and thank you cards designed to fit her and her husband for less than $500 (not sure how many guests they have though)

I called the # referred by my friend's co-worker last week and I spoke to the bridal gown consultant, Angie for over an hour to discuss what I am looking for and my budget. We had a wonderful conversation and it's like chatting with a girlfriend. She is so professional and she is such a sweetheart, what I like the most is I received an email immediately from her to confirm our initial appointment and the questionnaire to describe exactly what type of dress I want.

Due to my crazy work and prepare my wedding. I can only meet her tonight after 6 pm, The boutique provide "coming to your home" service. Angie is coming to my home tonight for a free consultation before even placing an order!
I am so surprised that she is even available to meet me after 6 pm based on my availability.
I have faith that I won't be disappointed this time (they provide 3 free fittings). I will definitely post my experiece after my appointment tonight.
I forgot the name of the boutique because I only got the # from my friend. I will post the boutique's information after I got her business card.

  • I have suggested and will always suggest Pearlsplace.com they are a real store and a vendor for real companies.  I they do not have access to a gown or bridesmaids then try Netbride.com.  Both are the very most reputable ones on the web.
