Hello all (new here....also a groom which is probabaly rare).
My bride and I are having an issue with something. The tux's. We already reserved them from a rental place and I was planning on getting the boys together in the next couple months to get fitted. So here are my questions...
Who pays for the groomsman tuxes? The groomsmen or me?
Who pays for the father and father in law's? Them or us?
If you were the groom paying for everyone's tuxes, what would make sense for a groomsman gift after having paid for this?
Reason I ask is for the following...
* I've been in several wedding parties, and the groom usually paid for the tuxes. However that was several years ago and things may have changed.
* The tux cost is about $140.00 and adding on a gift for $50.00, is a bit different versus them paying for the tuxes and giving them a $150.00 gift!
* The father's tuxes...i just don't know about that.
My thing is I'd like to pay for everyone's tuxes, get them huge gifts and throw lots of money at them. However we're not loaded, my fiance thinks we have an unlimited budget for the wedding and I dont' want to seem cheap and don't want to go over board where we could use that money in other places. Maybe I just need some thoughts to sort this out. Thoughts?
