How fancy of a dress for SIL's wedding

Hi ladies, my SIL will be getting married and my husband and I are not in the wedding party (both of our boys are though).  I'm wondering how fancy or simple of a dress I should get?  The wedding will be semi-formal (no black tie except for wedding party) but since our boys will both be in tuxes as well as the rest of the immediate family i don't want to look like a schlub in all the photos.  But at the same time I don't want to be dressed over the top since I'm not "in" the wedding.  Any thoughts?  TIA!!!!!!!
Got my little men 2/23/08 and 8/29/10!! 2 little monsters I tell you!

Whenever I attend a wedding, I just wear a seasonally-appropriate/time of day appropriate dress. I think as long as you're dressed nicely and not in a fancy evening gown, you're neither over nor under dressed.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I don't think you can ever go wrong with a little black dress.  Perhaps add a cardigan in a color that's fits the season.
