Am I going to regret this? (PIP)

After much searching, I have found a shoe that I really like and is actually comfortable.  A shoe that I will be able to wear on days other than just my wedding.  A shoe that should be easy to clean, so I don't have to worry about getting it dirty during my outside ceremony.  It's Milano by Sofft, and I would get it in violet.  Here's a picture:

I know it doesn't exactly look like a wedding shoe, but I hate the thought of spending a ton of money on something I won't wear more than once.  My only concern is that, even though the heel is very low, it is still a heel.  My ceremony will be 30 minutes long at the most.  What do you ladies think?

  • The heel is a lot bigger than most traditional heels...plus it's a great brand which is known for comfort.  I think you'll be fine as long as you like the look!

  • I think its a great looking shoe! Wedding shoes don't have to be white :)

As for the heel, hopefully someone else will add more because I'm wearing flats :D
  • Thanks for your input, ladies.  Actually, I'm more concerned about the heel because the ceremony (not reception) is outside.

I think the heel is wide and short enough that unless its rained or the ground is really soft you won't have to worry. Theres also a company that makes things that go on heels to keep them from sinking. I was going to use them for my shoes but bought wedges instead.

  • Are you concerned about sinking into the grass or something? Because that heel is a little more substantial than traditional heels or stilettos so I don't think that should be a problem.

Very cute shoes, by the way.

  • I think those shoes are great.  I am a firm believer that your wedding shoes should be shoes you can wear again.  I hate the idea of spending so much money on shoes you'll only wear once, the dress I can understand.

I bought shoes for my wedding .... skinny heel, ruffles on the toes, very cute ... and not at all comfortable for standing anymore than 20 minutes.  So, I am wearing the shoes I wore to my high school prom 8 years ago. They are red, which is a color in my wedding, and much more comfortable.

I say wear what you want.  You're the star of the day :)
  • Thanks, ladies!  I hope, as some of you have said, that the heel is thivk enough, because I love these shoes!  And that's one more thing to check off my to-do list!  Yay!  :-)

  • Those are so cute.  The heels should be ok, it's usually the spiky ones that end sinking in.  Maybe, take them for a test walk around your yard

  • I wore 4 inch red heels for my outdoor wedding and inside reception. Nobody really even noticed my shoes unless I showed them. I think you will be TOTALLY fine! I don't think you will regret it. It's not like you'll see them in every picture.

  • I don't think you'll regret it at all!

I went to a wedding seminar and a designer was there.  A couple of her models had on colored shoes that matched the bouquet!  It looked really awesome.  I am still debating getting mine colored red!

And the best part...your feet will feel good leaving you less grumpy!!
  • I'm planning on doing the same thing!  Go for it.  Just make sure that you wear the shoes around the house several times to break them in.
