Dress regret

My Husband to be and I was on a weekend get away . I was looking on the net for places to see and saw a little dress shop so I wanted to stop in . Well I did by myself ugh ,He waited in the car just in case I saw a dress I loved (he didn't want to see ).

The 1st dress I tried on I loved and bought .
Now that I have it hanging in my Dad's closest,I keep going over to look at it plus a picture I found online of it . I just dont love it .
I knew what type of dress I wanted and this isn't it :/ . Should I try to sell it and find another ? or just suck it up and wear it ? I hate to spend anymore money . Why do I do this crap lol .

Re: Dress regret

  • Have you tried it on again or just looked at it?  You said you loved it when you tried it on so I would try it on again and see.  Can you post the links of what your dress looks like and another of what type you were originally wanting?

  • Before you go and buy a new dress, take yours to a seamstress and see if they can do anything to make it more to your liking.

You may just need some time to let it sink in. When I bought my dress, my first thought when I left the store was "OMG, what have I done?" It took a week or two to sink in and looking at pictures of myself in the dress to remember how much I had loved it.

  • personally i love the first dress pic.  but i agree with pp  see if a seamstress can add some extras to make it "the" dress again.  the only difference looks like some extra toole around the skirt.
  • There must be something a seamstress can do.... Absolutely. But... According to your countdown you have a bit more than 3 months to go... So you better get on it if you want it done on time! And not have to pay extra extra extra... This is your wedding dress, it has to be what you want! You don't have to settle for anything you don't want, but be proactive, it won't just fall in your lap! Good luck, I've got a good feeling someone can turn this into your dream dress, it's already very flirty and pretty and just think ... When they add a little bit here and a little there, you'll have a totally unique dress especially for you ! (just get on it!) ;)
  • You can always sale your other dress and buy the other one!
