About to start dress shopping!!!

My MOH and I are going to start looking at dresses this week.  I'm really excited but also strangely nervous.

I've been looking at lots of dresses online to try and get a feel of what I like.  Any suggestions for looking in person?

Take a strapless bra, and maybe a pair of heels. I hated being forced to try on gross bridal store heels. And I didn't even want to wear heels!

Try on everything.

Don't get discouraged if something looks like crap on you. It's the dress's fault, and there are thousands of others out there.

Take breaks! It can be easy to get overwhelmed. If you're going to multiple shops in a day, schedule lunch or something in the middle so you can stop looking at dresses for an hour or two.

I agree.  Take your stuff.  When I went to look for my dress, I was very unprepared.  I ended up having to use their shoes, which didn't let me get the whole picture.

I suggest just having fun with it...walk around the shop and pick the dresses you think you like.  I strongly suggest keeping your budget in mind so that you don't fall in love with something out of it.  Have fun, try gorgeous dresses and love how you look in them!

this is great information and very timely too. I Am going dress shopping this weekend for my 4/23/11 wedding date.
I am so bringing my strapless bra and my blue wedding shoes.
