So, I am totally NOT a high-heeled kind of girl. I never have been. I love my Converse, so I decided I, along with my 5 bridesmaids, will wear Converse shoes at the ceremony and reception. I am allowing them to pick the color of the shoe, as long as it's nothing too outrageous. They all are very excited about this and think it's the neatest idea! BUT my future in-laws disagree and have already tried to talk me out of it. My future father-in-law said he is afraid I may be laughed at and he is just protecting me by asking me to have them wear other shoes. I was SO hurt. I tried to plea my case, and said as long as his son and I were happy, what's the big deal?
So, am I wrong for not changing my mind? Is this a really bad idea? My family say it's MY wedding so do what I want. And the girls are up for wearing them, too. Advice?
