Trying to find a reasonable price for a wedding veil

Has anyone found a website for a reasonably priced wedding veil?

Re: Trying to find a reasonable price for a wedding veil

  • I want something with just silver beading on the edge, fingertip length.
  • I used veilshop.com.  I got a cathedral or chapel (I forget) drop veil for $74, but they are much cheaper if you do not want as much length.
  • I have no idea, my mom just ended up buying me one for $140 at David's Bridal. I felt kind of sick at how much it was, but the deed is done I guess. Oye.

You can always try the classified boards too, and used bridal gown websites- to see if anyone has one they are selling that's only been used once!

  • Try etsy.  I got my veil there for 27 bucks and it is just perfect!  There are tons of stores on there with every type imaginable and many will make you anything that you want.  Good luck!!

I got mine from this shop. They look pretty cheesy on the mannequin heads, but it came and it looks great!

  • i got mine from ebay cost me $21
  • Have you considered buying secondhand?  A lot of the secondhard dress sites have GREAT deals on veils.  One of my friends got a stunning $200 veil for like $50.
  • I have been looking at thrift stores hoping to find one with no luck. I just can not bring myself to spend $100+ on a wedding veil.
  • Have you thought about going to your seamstress to see how much it would be for her to make you one?

  • Check out the Classifieds board. I've seen a few listing recently for veils at an affordable price.

  • Depends on what you're looking for. I couldn't decide what I wanted, and ended up getting a super simple veil for $20 from David's Bridal because I was there shopping for BM dresses and it was so cheap.

I really wanted a lace veil, so I ordered one from Dressilyme for cheap. Yeah, it was hideous!

Just picked up my dress yesterday and ended up ordering the veil through them from my dress designer so it matches my lace dress. Yeah it was $185, but to have it match and look good I just sucked it up.
  • I wanted something super simple with no embellishment or anything. My cousin had made her own, and she did the same for mine with less than $5 worth of materials.

  • I bought mine from lightinthebox.com for $18.99. It looks just as nice as the $200 veils from David's Bridal!

  • I don't know if you're crafty?  I bought a plain one at Walmart for $6 and sewed pearl beads around the perimeter.  Looks just as pretty as the expensive ones!  :)

  • If you want something simple, go with valuveil.com.  I bought a chapel length veil with scattered pearls for like $20 (that included shipping).

If you want a little more embelishment, try etsy or buying used from ebay.
