Champagne wedding dress?? Opinions please!!

I found a beautiful dress at a bridal consignment shop. I don't have a pic and can't find it online but need some opinions. I originally pictured a casually elegant wedding with a slightly rustic/vintage vibe. Our wedding colors are yellow, white & gray. No bridesmaids, so the main colors will be in the flowers and my FI is wearing a gray suit. I fell in love with this dress, it fits beautifully but it is champagne colored. This sounds silly but if it was ivory, I would have bought on the spot. But the color is throwing me off-mainly because I really am not sure it it will work with the yellow & white colors! It was also a fabulous price ($100!) so that also is a factor..but I'm just not sure how the color would look with the rest of what I am picturing. What are your thoughts?

You do not need to match your dress to your decor.

If you love the dress buy it!

Ohh come on! There is no military rule of matching dress color with decor. Just go for it. Its your day and you must wear in which you feel beautiful.

If you love the dress you should get it. And the price is great! If you're worried about the flower colors, you could always use white flowers in your own bouquet with small touches of yellow. Or nix the yellow all together for your bouquet only and use the yellow flowers elsewhere. Since yellow is strong color on it's own it will make a statement even if it's only used sparingly.

I originally went searching for a champagne gown because I love the colour so much.  Ultimately the dress I fell in love with and bough didn't come in that colour, so I got ivory, but if you love the dress, buy it.  Colours like champagne and blush are becoming more common too.

I think they are gorgeous on some brides, depending on hair color, skin color..... Some women actually look much better in something that is not white.

Ladies, Thank you so much. You are right; I DON'T need to match my flowers....not sure where I got that crazy idea. Thanks so much for the links, got some more great ideas. I definitely look better in ivory shades vs stark white so....I called and put the dress on hold, meaning no one else can buy it for a week. I'm going back to the store with my mom and aunt for one more try-on but I'm definitely thinking this is it! Thank you thank you!

My dress is champagne coloured. I think if you like the colour and feel comfortable in it you should go for it! If you do, come back and post a pic of it, I'd love to see it
