Honestly, I'm just bored off my ass at work right now waiting for a 1:30 press conference about beer.  So if there are any newbs or lurkers out there feel free to come and chat here.  Also, feel free to grace us with a fun recipe or a random hilarious story (I like those).

I'm fairly newish. I'll play.

I'll tell a cute dog story. 

My parents dog, Ginger was waiting for her table scraps while my parents were having their dinner, but I guess she got tired of waiting so she started eating her dog food. My dad finished and stood up to give Ginger his scraps and she SPIT OUT the dog food she had in her mouth all over him because she wanted the "people" food instead. My dad told her that she had to finish what she had spit out before he would give her the scraps and they had a stand off. Finally Ginger ate like two of the nuggets off the floor and my dad, the softy, gave in and gave her the scraps.

I'm not engaged.  I couldn't find a way to get around putting a wedding date on when I registered.  I guess.. it was a long time ago!  So I put it wayy in the future. Haha.<div>

I post here occasionally so I am not sure I really qualify as a lurker. However, I love sharing recipes so I couldn't resist posting.

This is one of my new favorites because it's really easy and tastes delicious: Chicken a la Diable 

I am currently eating leftover Pasta alla Norma which is also fabulous. It's worth it to get the special cheese, they sell it at Whole Foods and it's fairly inexpensive.

H and I had some friends over this weekend after our soccer game. I had a few drinks and one of our friends went to use our bathroom. They came out and commented on how clean our toilet bowl is (wtf?). I proceeded to go to the cleaning cabinet, pull out our Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, and give a drunken demonstration on how to use it.

Hi there!

I'm normally a lurker during my lunch hour at work, but today I am sitting at a Starbucks inbetween home visits.

One funny story I can offer is of my cat. Whenever I am out of town on business, my cat cries at night. Really loudly. My fiance and his brothers reallllllly love that. So They will call when he is doing that and have me talk to him through the phone. At that point he shuts up and lays down. 

He has done this like 3 times now. 

BTW Edie I like your sig pic. As an audiology graduate student extern I love all ear and hearing related humor!

I lurk a bit and post here and there.  I'll tell a cute story about the new cat my H and I just adopted.  We adopted her last week and the foster home she was in allowed her to climb their Christmas tree.  We have a tree up in our house, but because there are some breakable ornaments on it, we decided to not let her climb it.  For a few days, she tried, but couldn't figure it out before we told her no.  Well, this morning, as I'm making my breakfast, I walk into the living room to find her just chilling in the tree about 2/3rds of the way up.  It was super cute and when I tried to get her out, she clung to the tree for dear life.  She promptly went back to playing in the bathtub though, so I don't think she was too upset about it.
