Snarky Brides

I'm taking a survey (warning! may be Christmas related)

I've decided to start working on some holiday music cds and were wondering what your favorite songs are.  What songs would you pick for these categories?

*CD 1 - More traditional music like Let it Snow, and The First Noel (rated G)

*CD 2 - Fun songs like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph (rated G)

*CD 3 - A bunch of hilarious randomness like the Hanukkah songs, Christmastime in hell, Just a Jew at Christmas, will include ICP's Santa Claus song
(rated R)

*CD 4 - All instrumental probably Mannheim Steamroller type but would love some harp.  No Kenny G (H can't stand him)

    Love it!!!
  • I guess if I had to pick, I'd choose 1. But I like a mix of Christmas songs, mostly traditional with the fun, so ideally a combo of CDs 1 and 2. But, I also love Manheim Steamroller so a few of those would need to be thrown in.
  • "We Need a Little Christmas" from Mame.  Don't know what category it would fit in, though.

I'm just being a dork and naming it since it's technically musical theater.  :)

  • Don't for get "santa baby" by Eartha Kitt.
    Photobucket
  • Not sure if this would flow with your and H's tastes, but I love the Trans Siberian Orchestra.

My favorite by far of theirs is 'Christmas Eve in Sarajevo"
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHioIlbnS_A&ob=av3e

But they've got a LOT of great Christmas music. All instrumental (I think) which would work well with your 4th disc.

    O Holy Night (my favorite)

A local radio station has switched to 24-hour Christmas music until December 26.  The dial will not be moving soon.
