Favor advise

Good Morning Ladies! I need an advise about favors. I am ordering hand fans for the ceremony since its going to be outdoor in mid of July, those come in nice boxes with a matching tag, very pretty. For place cards we are looking to order little metal chairs for guests to keep also. Now, do you think those two can be considered as favors, or we actually should get something to hand out during the reception. If so, we might need to skip ordering one of the items mentioned, its just too much money.

Honestly, I'd skip the chairs.  They're pretty, but as a guest, I would probably leave it at the reception because I'm not one to collect trinkets that I don't have a place for.

do you think fans are sufficient or should I look around for favors?

I don't think providing the fans as a favor would be a good idea.  You are passing them out to keep your guests comfortable.  We are making DIY fan programs so they serve a 2-1 purpose.  I honestly think edible favors are the best b/c people will eat them and will most likely never use their fans that you are providing.  I could not see a picture of the chairs so I can not comment on that one.

I agree with PP's.  The chairs are cute, but don't really serve a purpose for guests once they bring them home.  Edible favors are probably best.

I think you could get away the fans as favors. They are not personalized with your wedding date, and they are something ppl could potentially use again. I was at a wedding last month and they gave out vintage handkerchiefs at the ceremony "for your tears of joy" and they were the only favor given. I think that's fine. Favors are optional, anyway.

I agree edible favors ore best because everyone will take one but with the two choices that you picked I like the fans

I love edible favors over little trinkets.  I would pick the fans over the chairs they will go over better I think.

Totally agree with this!  Also, skip the chairs, because I too, am not one for little trinkets.  The only thing I can think that people may use them for is to store a picture.  But I would do something edible or something people will use.

We're having a photobooth, so that is the favor for our guests (they get to keep the pictures!)
