Dress me please!

I have a christmas party to go to, sort of semi formal (Adam got a suit, some guys I work with are wearing sweaters and pants, girls i work with are wearing dresses or pants).

I want to wear these boots with black tights (to hide my tattoos) and a dress of some kind. Can you please give me ideas to what kind of dress may look good with these boots? They arent quite as blue in real life as they appear in the photo, more grey.

I am obsessed with sweater dresses right now.

I would like to do a sweater dress but what colour? Will that be TOO casual or can it look cute/dressy?

Any Victoria's Secret (or any store) sweater dress would be cute...like this one:

I LOVE those boots! That is all.

Actually no it's not, it doesn't answer the question. I like sweater dresses. I think they are kind of more casual than dressy, but it depends on what they look like, and what you wear them with. I don't think it sounds too casual for a Christmas party though unless it was suppose to be formal, and I am assuming this one isn't.

Ahh I love those boots. I have similar ones - I wear them with lots of colors. My favorite outfit with them is a Creamy white sweater dress :-)

I think you could pull off a bunch of different colors with those boots.  But they are a little bit more on the casual side, and I think sweater dresses are too.  You could maybe dress it up with jewelry though.

I want this sweater dress to not have a cowl neck and I would buy the shitout of it:

I like this one from Le Chateau:

I think you can go with a sweater dress, but I wouldn't go with the ones with the big luxurious collars, they just look less formal and would probably be harder to dress up with jewelry. Maybe a sweater dress with a little more structure like one of these:

    http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Satellite?ProductID=1265342742141&c=Page&cid=1287144201295&pagename=vsdWrapper

I'm not sure about the bottom on the second one, but having a V-neck could really show off some nicer jewelry.

Im worried about le chateau because I always find their dresses run on the more expensive side and I dont want to spend a TON since I probably wont wear this dress very often afterwards.

<div>Yeah le chateau is expensive. I seriously love their clothes though, and FI really liked their men's section too.</div>

I think a sweater dress is too casual for those boots.  I would do a black wrap dress in a jersey fabric, which coulsd easily be dressed down later, but will look good dressed up.  Then I would do a dramatic necklace or earrings.

    Here's a cute $30 dress :-)

Not sure the color would work with those boots though... but the style is cute!

Uuuugh I hate dressing up. I always worry I will be too dressy or too casual and then I end up uncomfortable all night because I always feel so out of place.

I knew we were twins for a reason. :) That's exactly what I would do.

And wrap dresses tend to be really flattering on everyone. :)

I would do a black sweater dress (bit in a thinner sweater fabric - more sleek) - simple with a belt.  Then wear great chandelier earrings - like something from banana republic. You could wear the sweater dress again over jeans tucked into boots.

So if I wear black tights, what colour dress should I do? Would grey be too matchy matchy? Would black be bad?

I feel like my boobs are always exploding out of wrap dresses.  What up wit dat?

Nebb, I would probably do black but I'm boring like that.

I dont want something that shows off my tits, theyre a problem. I wore a slightly low cut top (showed like 2" of cleavage) and this guy at work is being all fucking creepy with me so I dont want to wear ANYTHING that shows off my tits at work now.

    Red would be sexy :-)

I think i will wear the boots under my pants when I go shopping so I can see it all together, im starting to get paranoid I wont find anything I like, that ALWAYS happens. I imagine what I want in my head and never find it. I like the idea of a red dress though!

Yeah, keep your sistas away from the creeper.  That's how I roll.

Oh, I'd go with some funky coloured jewelry if you go with black and grey though. But that's me.

You could get a really cute cami. Maybe one with lace on the top?

I agree, red sounds good too.
