  • Ahh! I feel so bad I didn't gtg with you when we were there, but family monopolized our time.

The first few nights we stayed at the Iberville Suites, which are on the backside of the Ritz. It was nice because the room was split into 2 spaces, with 2 separate TVs. We could put Sparky to sleep in the bedroom and still watch TV in the living room part.

The rest of the time we stayed at Hotel Le Marais. I LOVED it. Even though the rooms were smaller, it was way more posh. It was light and modern and I think you would love it. They have a small pool in a courtyard with couches and other moveable furniture and it looked like the hangout spot for hip people. They have a pretty cool looking bar. The service was excellent. No bath tub, though, just a shower. It is on Conti between Bourbon and Royal, but even the 2nd floor was surprisingly quiet... except the night there was a 2nd Line down Conti. Iberville Suites was further away, but way louder for some reason.

  • And if you drive, I suggest you park in the parking garage around the corner on Chartes (across from Camelia Grill, big red P). Its only $25/night during the weekend and is valet. Valet at the hotel is upwards of $35 a night.
