Cali Jr failed the doppler test again =(

The nurse told me that's enough to keep me here until the end of the pregnancy=( Her umbilical cord is just not pumping the blood flow like they want her to. Baby A (Savannah) passed with flying colors. I will have the doppler test 2 times a week now. The nurse pretty much told me to get comfy. So, this morning was a busy morning in my room, starting at 4:30 I had someone in ever half hour to check something and 5 am to draw blood. I am still waiting for the peri to make her rounds to give me more details. At least I have my own room now.

• I am sorry about the doppler, but at least you have your own room now. I know that has been very difficult to deal with. Please update us after you talk with the peri!
• are you still on the meds that make you so sleepy? If not we will have book and movie suggestions galore. And maybe Christin can drive to you and teach you to make jewelry. Have you started the baby scrapbook yet?

• It's not so much sleepy, it's the headaches the medicine causes. I'm watching Anne of Green Gables today. I love the series. I have the books, but can't really focus on books. I was going to start their scrapebooks in August after I finished their letters and baskets.

• yay for your private room, yay for 24/7 supervision for Cali Jr (she needs it), yay for you being able to bake them longer! sorry you're stuck in the hospital from here on out. just THINK of all that guilt ammo you'll have. "Clean your room I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL WITH YOU GUYS FOR A MONTH now clean it!"

• Sorry to hear about having to stay but at least you have some privacy now.
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
• Tasty I have lots of ammo on these 2 little girls, years of IF, shots, hospital... the list goes on. I look on the ultra sound though and they just make me smile, it's going to be hard to be a mean mom:)

• Just think of it as an extended stay at a hotel (granted, a sh*tty hotel). And when you get home with your two girls, you will be so happy that you won't want to leave for a very long time (which is good because you probably won't get out often with the newborns).Stay positive! :)
• Aw Babbs.. I was hoping it wouldn't come to this! But at least 24/7 care should take a little of the pressure and worry off your shoulders.I can't even fathom spending the next 2-3 months in the hospital! You are a Superwoman! And just wondering, if you care to answer... Is your insurance taking good care of you for this kind of extended care? That's one of my secret worries.

• I just have this image of future babbs tearfully saying to her 16 year old daughters, "after everything we went through. Fertility treatments, years of heartbreak, an extremely difficult pregnancy, don't even get me started on labor, and you come home 30 minutes after curfew and didn't even bring home taco bell for your father and I. I'm just so disappointed in you two."

• Cali Jr. comes from a long line of Calis, and we are known for our attention whoredness. She can't get enough of the poking and prodding and measuring. Sign her up for modeling, acting, singing, and dancing lessons right now. She's going to want to stay in the spotlight.I'm glad you finally got your own room. Let us know if we can do anything to help you pass the time!

• I'm sorry you're stuck there, but at least you're being monitored closely - as frustrating as it is, being in the hospital means it's someone else's problem - all you need to do is try not to get too bored. I am happy that you've got a private room. Definitely update after the peri.

• Shoot, I know this isn't what you were hoping for. Just remember you are in the best hands possible, they know how to take care of you and the babies.

• Yes, the stay is 100% covered by my insurance, THANK GOD! I just pay for phone and TV. Cali, Cali Jr will be put in all kinds of activities. She is an AW, when they were trying to check Savannah Cali kept kicking her in the butt.

• ah, so she's of the small-but-scrappy variety!

• I'm thinking karate classes might be a good way to channel some of her energy. Although you should probably sign up poor Savannah for self defense classes to protect her from her sister.

• Hello it is I the lurker again. I just have to say it is al worth it Look at what I have now. I am hoping this picture isn't to big but They are 16 now well on their way to 17 and I adore them! Sorry that you have to stay!
• I'm so glad you got your own room! I know it's hard with people coming in and out so much, but try to get some rest. Hang in there - I heard that every day you can keep them in is 3 days off the NICU stay.

• The wait will be worth it. I'm still sorry that it's one more thing, but dang you're close. A year ago we were all hoping it would finally happen for you, and now you're just weeks away from having your little ones to hold. I think not only is Cali Jr an AW, but she also inherited Cali's well-known love of lying down and is just trying to make sure she gets more of it.

Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman
• As much as it sucks to be stuck there, its better to have that constant monitoring of Cali. Keep em cooking!
• You'd think that naming her after me would help her fatness though.

• I'm happy to hear you got a private room! I know it seems like so long to stay in bed, but think how long you've been waiting for this. what's a few more weeks? It will fly by in the grand scheme of things. I'll be thinking about you guys!

• I was in the hospital for almost 6 weeks and had a private room that does help. Good insurance is a wonderful thing my girls 16 years ago almost 17 cost 175,000 bucks. I only had to pay $750. I hope you have lots of friends to come and visit! I did a ton of hand sewing for the girls. I went in for a non stress test and didn't get to go home. Good luck!
