http://tinyurl.com/l5n5bc The momma is doing much better and wants to be with her bebehs all the time. You can still see the vertebra in her spine though, she's got a ways to go.

  • Hooray for momma getting better!  I hope she recovers quickly.  Are you taking in any of these puppies?

  • Aww Mama Dawg breaks my heart in that first picture with her pleading eyes.  I want to pick her up and cuddle her forever! And those puppies are so darn cute, I can't wait to see how they all look in a couple of months
  • My H would kill for one of those pups! He is dying for a bulldog.
  • Poor mama. I'd take an armfull of those puppies in a second, they're so cute!

  • I like Mama the best. I mean, puppies are cute and all. But I love her face. Poor thing. Where will she wind up? She's so sweet.

  • Oh mo, don't worry she will undoubtedly find herself a home. Assuming her fosters don't love her so much they can't let her go. :) Your sig picture is so cute, is that just a pal of yours?

  • Good. I'm sure her fosters love her dearly. I hope they fatten her up just right and soon she'll have a big dog bed all to herself. That's my older sis. Yeah, we look nothing alike.

  • FTnups, I have a question about the bulldog puppies. How old are they and when are they being put up for adoption? I currently have a 2 year old male bulldog and we're interested in getting another (through adoption rather than going through a breeder). It's very rare that you see bulldog puppies for adoption. Any information you could give would be awesome. Thanks!
  • Eeeek I just found out we are on the foster list for the puppehs! Wheee! Shaggy, I read your question. And now I forget what your question was. I will go read your question again. Please hold.

  • Ok, they were just born within the last few weeks. They will not be separated from the momma for at least 10-12 weeks. I imagine we will be pretty particular who we adopt too, since everyone wants a bulldog puppy (hence there are so many bullies in rescue...they want the puppy not the dog!). Where do you live? You can always put an application in with the rescue, it is not at all binding of course but it is nice to have that part done when the right dog/pup comes along. There will likely be a LOT of interest in these puppies, so if you are seriously interested I think it would be a good idea to apply now. Also, just a reminder that this was a shelter momma. She is a pure-bred but we have no way of knowing if her puppy daddy was a pure-bred. If that matters to you.

  • Well it's the central Texas rescue - www.dfwbulldogrescue.org- so probably a long shot for you. There are a couple of very good, active bulldog rescues in the NE though. Heaven Sent is the one I can think of off the top of my head, I'll need to look up the other one.

  • Are you willing to ship the dogs, obviously if we paid for the air plane ticket? I haven't ever rescued a dog before, as we got out first bulldog from a breeder and drove 8 hours each way to pick him up. I'll definitely look into it. I would love another one of these cuties!!
  • Oh gosh no. We do not ship our dogs, I don't think any rescue does (or they shouldn't anyway). We have had people come from as far as Colorado to drive home with their new dog. I would look into supporting one of the rescues near where you live.

  • I would be willing to fly there and rent a car to drive back. I would rather not ship them either. I've looked and looked at the rescues near us, and no puppies ever. That's why I am very interested in this one. We have another bulldog in the house who is amazing with other dogs, but I am always worried about how the other dog is going to act with him in the house. I feel like most bulldog rescues are always labeled as no other dogs in the house, which is obviously tough.
  • Hm, that's unusual - I would say the majority of our bullies are perfectly good with other dogs. Well, it can't hurt to submit an application! There will be a lot of competition for these guys, and I know they will look very carefully at applicants (and frankly will likely be wary of anyone only willing to adopt a puppy). On the other hand, the fact that you already have a bulldog is a plus.Good luck!

  • Thanks for all your information regarding these adorable pups. I just submitted the application. I appreciate your help!
