Can you block applications--particularly Mafia Wars and Farm Whatever? I do not need to know who is looking for three hookers and a bag of blow, but I don't want to block the people (though I wonder why).

Is there a way to stop FB from publishing all your game related crap?  I play Mafia Wars but I don't want all the lame updates posting on my wall.  It's annoying.

Cali, there should be something in your privacy settings, in the applications section.  Also, when you initiate an application like one of those, it usually asks your permission to post things and you can tweak it there.

cali, go into settings and select application settings. you can set that for each application you use.

So if I do that, it'll delete all the postings but won't impede my gameplay?

correct cali. i do the same thing with farkle and bejeweled.

fallin- i think clicking 'hide' not only hides their farm/mafia use, but also their status updates, notes, wall posts to mutual friends, etc. so if you want to see that stuff, you'll have to click on their page i believe.

it gives you an option to "hide this application" or "hide updates from this user."

oh really? dang, i've never seen that. although the only people i block are status update abusers, so i guess until i saw an app abuse poster, i would've never known. good to know. thanks!

Any applications requests of any kind give you the option to block the app and I ALWAYS block the apps. All of them.
